Hey everybody. Welcome to this edition of Car Count Daily. My name’s Ron Ipach, but you can call me Captain Car Count. Because that’s all I’ve done for the past 20 plus years is help thousands, and thousands of our repair shop owners just like you to get and then keep all the top quality customers that your shop can handle.
Time to talk about marketing, but more specifically we’re going to be talking about what the number one job of your marketing is. It’s not to make a sale, see a lot of people get this wrong. They think their marketing needs to make the sale, and it’s just not true. Okay? Your marketing, look there’s only so much room you have in an ad. There’s only so much attention span that your perspective customers are going to have. There’s only so much clutter that you’re going to be able to get through to get the message to the perspective customer to get them to take an action. That action is not to come in and give you their credit card. That action is pick up the phone. That’s the A, number one thing. It’s got to generate a phone call because people carry mobile phones with them at all times. Ninety nine times out of a hundred they’re not going to just show up at the shop. They’re going to call you first. So, don’t try to do too much with your ad. Do whatever you can to point them to that phone, give them your phone number invite them to call, and make it easy.
Don’t go off and try to sell your services there, sell how awesome you are or let your reviews tell everybody how awesome you are. But, then what you need to do is get them on the phone. Okay? And then, when the phone rings be prepared, because now we’re talking about converting that phone call into the sale. That’s what the next phase of marketing does, but marketing, right now, gets that phone to ring. Alright? We’ll talk a little bit more about this on the next videos, but for right now understand the number one job of your marketing is to get the phone to ring.
